- £44,000 to the Institute of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (Chaired by professor Lord Robert Winston) to fund a Card Aid Research Fellow in cancer research.
- £4,949 to educate children in Africa.
- £2,000 for English National Opera for subsidised tickets and workshops for secondary schools across the country.
- £4,960 to the Campaign to Protect Rural England.
- £3,267 to Sightsavers International for simple operations to restore the sight of cataract and trachoma suffers in the developing world.
- £1,320 to support the work of King's College Hospital's department of diabetes.
- £1,000 to Save the Family to enable young people to visit the theatre, concerts and museums.
- £10,000 to the Tate to pay for work by young artists.
- £4,500 to Shelter to help people affected by homelessness and bad housing.
- £3,660 to Prostate UK for grants to improve patient treatment and care.
- £800 to Knit for Peace to send war knitted jumpers, hats, scarves, blankets and baby clothes for the children of Afghanistan.
- £4,200 to Plan to combat childhood poverty in the world's poorest countries.
- £1,850 to Macmillan Cancer Support to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
